The blade is unsigned o-suriage shinogi-zukuri shape with double bohi engravings, looks very old kamakura period ca.1300 made blade. The blade is in old days new polish, no scratch, no stain and in good condition. The temper line is hoso-suguha temper with nie active throughout the blade and has healthy temper at the point. The forging grain is very tight ko-mokume-hada, looks old Yamashiro school forging and no froging flaws. There is no bend, no nicks, no crac temper and the cutting edge is razor sharp. The blade measures 18 1/4" cutting edge, 1" width, 6mm thickness at the notch and 25 1/4" in mountings. The scabbard is original urushi lacquered scabbard shows light touch up repair but in good condition. The handle is tight fit with Edo period matched Mino school flower design fuchi/kashira and foodog menuki. The habaki is gold wrap double habaki. Precio: 2.300 euros |
