Sable español de oficial, con guarnición (empuñadura y guarda) de estilo prusiano y hoja en acero de calidad resistente y flexible que está finamente grabado con temas vegetales y la inscripción por un lado “año de 1851” y por el otro “Artª Toledo” (El arma de artillería tenía a su cargo la Fábrica de Armas de Toledo). Es por tanto una hoja realizada en la mejor calidad a mediados del siglo XIX en Toledo. Según consta en la descripción según tradición verbal realizada por los últimos propietarios la pieza fue de un antepasado que la utilizó en la guerra Hispano-Marroquí de 1859-60 y en la Tercera Guerra Carlista. Es una pieza inusual seguramente realizada por encargo. En conjunto es ligera y a la vez sumamente resistente. La hoja del mejor acero de Toledo de la época. Su estado es en general bueno como se ve en las fotos, con las habituales manchas y demás efectos del tiempo, el puño ha sido restaurado seguramente ya durante su vida de uso. La hoja mide 77 centímetros, la longitud total de la pieza es de 90 cm.
