Raro Shin Gunto para oficial al estilo tradicional, hoja de gran calidad obra del maestro Neosuke. Gunto para oficial al estilo tradicional japonés. La hoja está firmada por Neosuke, que fue armero forjador de arsenal en la prefectura de Aichi durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Podemos datar la pieza ya que lleva también grabada la fecha: Enero del 1944 (showa jukyu nen ichi-gatsu). La hoja está en prefecto estado sin melladuras ni óxido, solamente algunos arañazos muy superficiales. El pulido parece el original, no debió de ser nuevamente pulida desde entonces. Pieza fuera de lo corriente y extremadamente rara en su clase simplemente por su calidad, excelente ejemplo de las piezas que realizaron los maestros forjadores japoneses antes de la práctica extinción de su tradición milenaria tras la derrota en la guerra, las escuelas modernas que han intentado recuperar el arte pese a realizar muy buenos trabajos no alcanzan a los antiguos, ni por técnicas ni por materiales Precio: 2.625 euros.
Rare Japanese army officer's sword (shin gunto), Naosuke signed. This is Japanese WW II army officer's sword in mountings. The blade is signed "Naosuke", dated "showa jukyu nen ichi-gatsu" (January of 1944) and there is Nagoya arsenal stamp on the tang. Naosuke is arsenal sword smith during WWII time period in Aichi prefecture. The blade is in old polish and has fine scratch on surface from the age but in good condition. The temperline are barely visible which is wavy notare temper pattern throughout the blade and has healthy temper at the point. The forging grain is muji-hada and not visible. There is no bend, no nicks, no crack and the cutting edge is sharp. The blade is beefy and healthy condition. The scabbard is heavy metal scabbard, no dents but shows aged paint off wear. The handle is tight fit, lock mechanism works fine and in good condition. It has original leather hanger with it and no cut, no tears and in good condition. It measures 26" cutting edge, 1 1/4" width at the notch and 38 1/2" in mountings.
