Antique 1850 NCO militia sword and scabbard with no distinguishable makers markings. Even though the sword has no maker mark it remains in absolutely great solid shape for the age and was made by a master craftsmen.  It is 35.5 long. It fits perfect in the scabbard. The pommel is a knights head. The handle is solid and is made of fluted bone. I will note there is a knick in the handle, see pic.  The blade and the scabbard is straight and shiny with no rust or pitting..  It was used by many fraternal organizations mainly the Masonic lodges as a sword used during the ceremonies.  I have also seen pictures of this sword at the side of civil war officers in parade or ceremony attire.
